Invitation to enter a photography competition - To Absent Friends Festival's 10th Anniversary.
The Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care, a Scotland-wide charity, has launched a photography competition to mark the 10th anniversary of the 'To Absent Friends' remembrance festival.
The competition invites participants to submit a photo and write up to fifty words which together evoke a story or memory of someone important in their life who has died.
There will be a first prize of £500 for the winner in the adult category, and the winner and runners-up will have their entry shown as part of the “Essence of a Memory” exhibition in Edinburgh, and be invited to the opening at an evening reception in the Scottish Storytelling Centre on 1 November.
The deadline for entries is 18 September. More information about the competition and how to enter is available from the following website (click here)
This competition is open to photographers of all ages and abilities resident in Scotland.
