FIAP Photo Academy Online Events presents a free talk Through My Lens: An Intimate View of Monet's Garden with Charles Needle on Monday 6th March 2023 at 19:00 London Time.
Award-winning Colorado (USA)-based fine art photographer, Charles Needle, has had the rare privilege of photographing in Claude Monet’s famous garden in Giverny, France before and after it opens to the public for the past 23 years. In this presentation, he will share images he made in this garden from his unique point of view along with a historical perspective and personal experiences of what the garden has meant to him over the years.
In addition, Charles will offer general tips for improving your flower and garden photography, including in-camera techniques he has developed for making Impressionistic, painterly imagery.
About Charles Needle: Charles has authored three cutting-edge instructional books: Tiny Worlds: Creative Macro Photography Skills, Impressionistic Photography: A Field Guide to Using Your Camera as a Paintbrush, and Creative Macro Photography: Professional Tips & Techniques.
An accomplished speaker, photography juror and teacher with international workshops in Monet's Garden (Giverny, France for 23 years in a row, with exclusive private access), Keukenhof Gardens (Holland) and The Butchart Gardens (Canada), Charles is a North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) Showcase Competition award winner for 15 years and received a prestigious Judges’ Choice Award in 2022.
